so i first found out jimmy was a really good guitar player when i just happened to stop into the cellar in pittsfield after work with a thirst for a black russian or 5 and i discovered they had a band playing that night - turns out it was the greg kihn band and they asked jimmy to fill in for their guitarist who was ill or something

for all you up and coming guitarists in the middle of a long dolorous set - don't be afraid to break out a reggae riff out of nowhere - it was the finest moment of any concert i've seen (except the first time i saw the the old leon savage band guitarist duckwalk his solo on down the top of the bar while we scooped up our drinks at a club in north adams when they first came out with wireless guitar transmitters)
